XI International Congress of Jacobean Studies: Bérenger de Landore 🗓 🗺

The International Congress of Jacobean Studies is one of the main scientific meetings of the Jacobean culture promoted by the International Committee of Experts of the Camino de Santiago, with the collaboration and sponsorship of the Department of Culture and Tourism.

This congress has been held since 1993 and this edition, which will be the eleventh, will be dedicated to the important figure of the archbishop of Compostela Bérenger de Landore. In 2018 it was 700 years since his arrival in Santiago de Compostela.

The XI International Congress of Jacobean Studies will feature the scientific direction of Adeline Rucquoi, a member of the International Committee of Experts of the Camino de Santiago and a PhD in history from the University of Sorbonne (Paris IV) and Director of Emeritus Research at the C. N. R.S. (National Scientific Research Centre, France).

In this edition, the Congress will feature 20 speakers who are top-level researchers, formed of veteran representatives of institutions, chairs and study centres, who will be joined by other younger, promising specialists, who will also present valuable reflections and contributions on significant aspects about the figure of the archbishop Bérenger de Landore, the town of Compostela, the Order of Preachers, Jacobean art and culture.
